Best I Can

"The best I can," is a phrase that was passed down to me from my grandparents and my parents. In any given situation, or circumstance, doing my best has always been my way to be, even in extremely difficult times.

I have heard many say, "Oh that's good enough!" However, that statement never settled well with me, it always bothered me, as if I were sufficing with what was proposed or offered, and I always said no.

There are other options, but that is a mindset that must be one of the individual, and I have discovered it is not even of the majority, only in a select few. It is also a learned mindset, not one that comes naturally, like with myself and forefathers and mothers. It is something that should be taught, or else many will think that sufficing is acceptable but truly it is not. For some it may be acceptable, however in accepting the lesser of the two you will not be one who will thrive but one who will simply survive.

To overcome and to survive are two completely different levels. One accepts, suffices and the other doesn't accept but learns and improves from different experiences and excels exceedingly and abundantly. Which one are you?

For example, let's take a look at the differences:

This is a survivors mindset; I survived a motor vehicle accident and am well. A few scars but the emotional trauma and the time frame taken from my livelihood really brought me low and I just can't seem to push through that.

Now, an overcomers' mindset; I overcame the motor vehicle accident and am well, it really taught me to be aware of my surroundings and although I had a loss of time, I reflected on what I can do to better myself with the time available. The bills were high since I lost my income during the recovery period but I learned how to become efficient in planning for issues of this kind and making sure that I am prepared for anything. The accident didn't stop me, it actually made me better.

What or which type of person are you? Are you just a survivor or are you an overcomer? The choice is yours, on every level or in any situation. You can let it bring you down and use the situation as an excuse or you can rise above it and learn from the experience to make you better. If you call yourself an overcomer, then welcome aboard the team! Glad to have you as a member. Together, when we connect, we can achieve anything. In difficult, or hard or even when obstacles are thrown our way, we can overcome them and continue to move forward.

One of my favorite words is Onward, I use that word in everything. It is MY mindset word. Create one for yourself, what works for you and who you are. Make the word of your choice apply to everything you do. You won't regret it, you will actually find yourself doing your best in everything. Before you know it, it will become embedded within you and will become a natural reaction to everything you encounter.

Well, that's all for today, and as always I wish you ALL THE BEST in everything!

His Peace & His Love Always!
